Chinese Name : 麝香鹿茸丸

Drug Formulation

Angelica sinensis (soaked in wine overnight) 3 liang, deer antler (peeled and roasted with ghee) 3 liang, deer antler powder 3 liang, musk 2 qian (finely ground), Cistanche deserticola (soaked in wine overnight) 2 liang, Aconite root (roasted until cracked, peeled, and navel removed) 2 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use 4 liang of deer antler gelatin, melt it into a liquid, mix with the powder, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with either warm wine or salted broth, once daily. If it is difficult to mix the medicine with the full amount of deer antler gelatin, add 2–3 he of it to the decoction and boil together; if unavailable, substitute with donkey-hide gelatin.
