Wrap in a thin piece of cotton; if the left ear is bleeding, plug the right nostril; if the right ear is bleeding, plug the left nostril; if the left nostril is bleeding, plug the right ear; if the right nostril is bleeding, plug the left ear; if both ears are bleeding, plug both nostrils; if both nostrils are bleeding, plug both ears.
