Drug Formulation

5 qian of white aconite root (preferably from Shandong), 2 qian of Indian turmeric, 2 qian of whole scorpions, 1 liang of bile star, 1 liang of stir-fried silkworm pupae, 5 qian of cardamom, 5 qian of chebulic myrobalan (baked in bread, pitted), 1 fen of musk, 5 qian of belamcanda, 5 qian of dandelion, 1 qian of cinnabar, 2 qian of realgar, and 2 qian of Sichuan coptis.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, decoct into a paste, and form into pills the size of a longan; coat with gold leaf.

Dissolve in boiling water and take orally; if the smallpox has just begun to erupt, take with scallion white decoction.
