Softshell Turtle Carapace (washed, roasted with vinegar until yellow), Bupleurum (stems removed), Gentiana, Moutan Bark, and Aconite (roasted, with skin and pith removed)—each in equal parts.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose. Use one wild boar’s kidney (about the size of a pebble), remove the connective tissue and membrane, then grind it with 1 cun of scallion white and 1 qian of ground pepper into a paste. Place the mixture in a bowl and combine with the medicine. Add one small cup of a child’s urine, bring to a boil 3–5 times, then stir in the medicine powder until well blended. Cover the bowl with its lid and let it cool to a warm temperature before consuming.
