Benefits

For warts, red or black blemishes, moles, facial blemishes, foul sores, boils, polyps, and nodules.

Instructions for Use

Mix with hot water until thoroughly moistened; soak in hot water for half a day, then continue to pour hot water over it (add the water gradually; do not pour too quickly, or the lye will be ineffective), until 2–3 liters of lye solution has been extracted.Immediately pour the mixture into a small cauldron and bring to a boil 1–2 times. Then take 1 liang of lime (weathered lime is best; if concerned about moisture, roast it until extremely hot) and add it to the lime juice to neutralize the mixture. Stir continuously with a wooden stick without stopping until the consistency resembles pancake batter. Carefully scoop out small amounts to form a paste, and quickly pour it into a porcelain container. Stir until cool; otherwise, it will dry out in a moment and become unusable.Generally, one part of this decoction out of ten is suitable for long-term storage. In cases of injury, the flesh will turn reddish-black in an instant, and the pain will feel like being burned by fire. If applied to a moxibustion scar, the affected area will naturally slough off after more than 20 days, leaving no scar.

Note

While the sore is still healing, avoid adzuki beans and ginger; even if a scar forms, it will not be raised.
