Drug Formulation

Ginseng 6 fen, Astragalus 8 fen, Hawthorn 8 fen, Atractylodes (stir-fried with earth) 5 fen, Angelica 5 fen, Ligusticum 5 fen, Tangerine Peel 5 fen, Licorice 3 fen, Epimedium 2 fen, Manchurian Tortoise Shell (stir-fried with earth until yellow) 2 fen, Cinnamon Bark 3 li (this is a guide herb; too much causes itching), Wood Fragrance 2 fen.

Instructions for Use

Add 1 slice of fresh ginger and 1 jujube, decoct in water, and take orally; alternatively, it may be ground into a powder and taken orally.If vomiting occurs, take with ginger decoction; for diarrhea, take with rice water; for abdominal pain, take with a decoction of Shenqu; for restlessness, take with Ophiopogon Decoction; for thirst, take with a decoction of Ophiopogon and Schisandra; for vomiting and diarrhea, take with a decoction of Agastache and Tangerine Peel. If the smallpox lesions do not form pus, it is safe to take several doses.
