Drug Formulation

Astragalus (honey-fried) 2 liang, Prepared Rehmannia (washed) 2 liang, Cinnamon Bark (coarse bark removed, not heated) 2 liang, Licorice (fried) 2 liang, Ginseng (root tip removed) 2 liang, Angelica (soaked in wine, root tip removed) 2 liang, Soft-shelled Turtle Carapace (fried with rice vinegar) 2 liang, Poria (peeled) 2 liang,Southern Frankincense (not exposed to fire) 1 liang, Lycium Bark (without the central pith) 1 liang, Bupleurum (without the stems) 1 liang, Gentiana (washed) 1 liang, Aconite Root (roasted, without skin or navel) 1 liang, Schisandra (washed with wine) 1 liang, Ligusticum (Chuanxiong) 1 liang, Donkey-hide Gelatin (stir-fried with clam powder) 1 liang, Pinellia (soaked in boiling water 7 times) 1 liang, White Peony Root 4 liang.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Take 2 da qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water, 5 slices of fresh ginger, and 2 jujubes. Decoct together until reduced to 7 fen, strain, and take on an empty stomach.
