5 da liang of white quartz (from Zezhou), 5 da liang of magnetite (hairless; 10 liang with numerous needles is also acceptable).

Instructions for Use

Grind each ingredient separately into a fine powder, place each in a double-layered silk bag, and place them in a non-porous vessel containing 1 dou of fine wine. Hang the bags to steep for 6–7 days. Afterward, drink three liang cups daily, maintaining a slight scent of alcohol in the body. After 3–5 days, gradually add 1–2 sheng of wine to keep the bottle full.If any of the added herbs appear to have lost their potency, replace them as needed. After 3–4 months, if the stone’s potency seems to have diminished slightly, remove it, pound it into a fine powder, and place it back in a bag. Discard it after half a year and prepare a new batch as described above.
