Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. Take 2 qian per dose: 1 dried persimmon and 1 large zhan of millet rice water. Simmer over low heat until dry, strain out the residue, and consume only the persimmon flesh after meals and before bedtime—3 persimmons per day; doubling the dose is even better.If the infant is too young, the nursing mother may take this instead. Alternatively, use a boiled persimmon, remove the seeds, slice thinly, roast until crisp, and grind into a fine powder. Take half a qian of this powder mixed with warm rice-washing water; there is no specific time restriction for administration. This may also be given to the child.
