Drug Formulation
Southern Star (chopped into small pieces and boiled briefly in hot water) 3 qian, Prepared Pinellia 3 qian, Talc 4 qian, Mercury Oxide 50 tie, Cleaned Wu Yi 200 slices, Croton Seeds 50 grains (remove shells; if whole, soak in hot water 7 times; remove the inner membrane; split into two halves; boil briefly in water; sun-dry; and finely chop).

Processing
Roast the first three ingredients into a fine powder; mix with the mercury oxide, Wu Yi, and Croton seeds (all finely chopped). Pound them together thoroughly in a mortar, then add the powder and pound until uniform;Wrap the mixture in a large portion of glutinous rice to form a “zongzi,” steam it in a clay pot until cooked through, let it cool, then remove it. Pound it to a pulp in a sand mortar, wrap it tightly in fine cloth, and squeeze out a thick paste. Place this in a separate container and mix it with the herbal powder, pounding them together into soft, fine pills the size of a sesame seed.

Instructions for Use
Take 15–25 pills per dose, or 35 pills. Soak the white part of a scallion in glutinous rice soup, extract the juice into a small cup, and take it on an empty stomach at the beginning of the fifth watch. After 3–5 bowel movements, take the “Yunqi San” formula to regulate and tonify; to expel wind-phlegm, take it on an empty stomach with light ginger soup.

This formula is not for routine use; it should only be administered in cases of stubborn stagnation, excessive salivation, or extreme heat.
