Chinese Name : 水银煎

Drug Formulation

Half a liang of mercury, half a liang of lead (formed into granules), half a liang of talcum powder, 1 liang of realgar (common variety), 1 liang of borax, 1 fen of calcined stone, and 2 seeds of croton (remove the skin and inner membrane, extract the oil, and grind).

Processing

Grind all the above ingredients except the talcum powder into a uniform mixture. Take 8 jujubes (pitted), mix the talcum powder with water, and fill the jujubes with the mixture. Wrap each jujube individually in five layers of damp paper, then bake them in a charcoal fire until cooked. Remove the paper and jujube skins, then grind the jujube pulp together with the previous mixture into pills the size of a soapberry.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose; place it on the tongue without chewing, and swallow it with ginger and jujube decoction.
