Drug Formulation

3 fen of pine lichen, half liang of licorice (raw), half liang of Changshan (finely chopped), 3 fen of softshell turtle shell (with the frills removed, soaked in vinegar, and roasted until yellow), and half liang of bamboo leaves (sliced).

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; decoct in 1.5 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan; strain out the residue; and take warm on an empty stomach before an attack begins. Recovery is indicated by vomiting.
