Bitter She-poppy Seeds (ground to a paste) and Southern Perilla Seeds (ground to a paste), each in equal parts.

Processing

Mix thoroughly, form into small pills using jujube pulp, air-dry, and store in a porcelain jar to prevent the loss of oiliness, which would diminish the medicinal efficacy.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose, washed down with plain hot water at the third watch of the night. The treatment is complete when bowel movements occur 4–5 times; if bowel movements are excessive, reduce the dose; if insufficient, increase it. If the body feels weak the next day, take the medicine every other day or every two days. For those with weak constitution, start with half the dose and gradually increase as tolerated.

Avoid all salty foods.
