Wei Zhen Decoction,For men and women whose original qi is depleted and exhausted, whose nourishing and defensive qi are weak, whose true yang is unstable, whose Triple Burner is out of harmony, and who exhibit excess above and deficiency below—manifesting as nightmares of sexual intercourse with ghosts, night sweats upon waking, a face lacking luster, dryness of the lips, mouth, and tongue, a cicada-like ringing in the ears, lower back pain and fatigue in the back, deficiency of heart qi, restlessness of the spirit, palpitations, and forgetfulness;food and drink taste bland, gradual weight loss and emaciation, itching and dampness in the external genitalia, frequent urination at night, heaviness and cold pain in the lower back radiating to the lower abdomen, weakness in the feet and knees, and difficulty walking; for women, chronic cold in the Blood Sea, irregular menstrual cycles—sometimes delayed, sometimes occurring twice a month—red and white vaginal discharge, leukorrhea in five colors, and infertility due to cold invading the uterus.

Drug Formulation

1.5 liang of Ginseng, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (soaked in wine overnight), 1 liang,1 liang of Qingpi (white pith removed), 1 liang of Cloves, 2 liang of Sichuan Achyranthes (soaked overnight in half a zhan of children’s urine and half a zhan of wine), 2 liang of Raw Rehmannia, 3 liang of Poria, 3 liang of Wood Fragrance, 3 liang of Cardamom, 3 liang of Prepared Rehmannia (washed in warm water), 3 liang of Chinese Yam, and 5 liang of Golden Hairpin Dendrobium.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 daqian per dose, on an empty stomach or before meals, mixed with wine; salted water may also be used. For various gynecological disorders, take on an empty stomach mixed with a child’s urine and wine.
