Drug Formulation
1 black rooster; 1 liang of ginseng (root tip removed); 1 liang of white atractylodes; 1 liang of stone bed; 1 liang of peony bark; 1 liang of astragalus; 1 liang of evodia; half a liang of cardamom; half a liang of corydalis; half a liang of prepared dried rehmannia (washed and roasted); half a liang of wood fragrant; half a liang of amber; half a liang of nutmeg; 2 liang of aged tangerine peel;2 liang of safflower, 2 liang of Sichuan aconite (roasted), 2 liang of sea-tong bark, 2 liang of white peony root, 2 liang of aconite root (roasted, with skin and navel removed), 2 liang of cinnamon bark (with coarse bark removed), 2 liang of Ponghuo zhu, 1.5 liang of Atractylodes lancea (soaked in rice water, sliced, and roasted).

Processing
Finely chop the above ingredients. Take one black-boned chicken, scald it to remove the feathers and internal organs, then place the chopped herbs inside the chicken’s cavity. Place the chicken in a new porcelain pot with one dou of good-quality wine, and simmer until the liquid has evaporated. Remove the chicken bones, transfer the contents to an oil-coated cloth, bake until dry, and grind into a fine powder. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
