Drug Formulation

Atractylodes (soaked in east-flowing water for 10 days, black skin removed, sliced, and roasted) half a jin; Aconite (soaked in rice washing water for 5 days, changing the water daily, roasted until cracked, skin and pith removed) 3 liang;Sichuan pepper (select those with split pods; heat a brick until red-hot, splash vinegar on the brick, place the peppers on it, cover to induce sweating, then select the red ones for use) 3 liang, green tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and roasted) 3 liang, rock salt 1 liang (ground).

Processing

Pound and sift the four ingredients listed above into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with the salt, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using refined honey.
