Drug Formulation

Softshell Turtle Carapace (with skirt removed, roasted with vinegar) 2 liang; Rhubarb (steamed in damp paper) 3 fen; Ginseng 2.5 liang; Aconite Root (roasted until cracked, with skin and navel removed) 2.5 liang; Fructus Aurantii (soaked in hot water to remove pith, stir-fried with wheat bran) 2.5 liang;Achyranthes root (sliced, baked) 2.5 liang, Cinnamon bark (coarse bark removed, chopped) 0.5 liang, Prepared Rehmannia root 1.5 liang (roasted), Magnolia bark (coarse bark scraped off, roasted with ginger juice) 1 liang, Schisandra berries (roasted) 1 liang, Wood fragrant 1 liang, Cloves 1 liang, Angelica root (sliced, roasted) 1 liang,Atractylodes macrocephala 1 liang, Paeonia lactiflora 1 liang, Poria cocos (black skin removed) 1 liang, Myristica fragrans (skin removed) 1 liang, Aquilaria agallocha (chopped) 1 liang, Curcuma zedoaria (processed) 1 liang, Notopterygium incisum (root tip removed) 1 liang, Areca catechu (steamed) 1 liang.

Coarsely crush the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame or mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose. Boil with 1 zhan of water, 1 large jujube (split open), and 3 slices of fresh ginger until the liquid is reduced to 7 fen. Strain and drink while warm; take at any time.
