Drug Formulation

Wudu realgar 1 liang (red as a rooster’s comb), large Aconite root 1 liang (roasted and weighed), Lepidium 1 liang, superior cinnabar 1 liang (free of impurities), white calcined hematite 1 liang (refined for one day and one night), croton seed 1 liang (peeled and roasted until purple, then weighed) (one version includes genuine cinnabar 1 liang).

Processing

First, pound the croton seeds 3,000 times; next, add the white calcined hematite and pound 3,000 times; next, add the leilu and pound 3,000 times; next, add the realgar and pound 3,000 times; next, add the aconite root and pound 3,000 times; next, add the white honey and pound 3,000 times; if cinnabar is not used and 2 liang of genuine vermilion is added instead, ensure the mixture does not lose its potency.

Instructions for Use

Adults should take pills the size of a small bean. If taking this remedy for an existing condition, avoid raw fish, raw vegetables, and pork. For the following conditions, do not eat the night before; take two pills the next morning. If no effect is felt, drink warm rice water to induce a purgative effect. If the purgation does not stop, drink cold water to halt it.
