Chinese Name : 香肚丸

Drug Formulation

1 turtle shell (with nine ribs; soaked in vinegar overnight, then roasted until yellow), 2 liang of Bupleurum (stems removed), half a jin of apricot kernels (soaked in hot water, then peeled and tips removed), half a jin of Artemisia annua (washed and dried in an oven), and 4 liang of green tangerine peel (white pith removed).

Processing

Coarsely crush the above ingredients. Take 1 pig’s stomach (with skin and membrane removed), stuff the mixture inside, and sew it closed with thread. Simmer in 4 sheng of a child’s urine until it becomes as soft as mud, then chop it finely. Mix with the herbal mixture and bake until dry, then grind into a fine powder. Next, add 3 liang of Coptis powder and 2 qian of musk (finely ground), and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using wine paste.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach before meals, washed down with warm boiled water.
