Processing

Cut them open, scrape out the pulp with a bamboo knife, remove the membranes and fibers, and set aside. Scrape off the white pith from the peel, chop it finely, blanch it 1–2 times in boiling water using a colander, squeeze dry, and set aside. Mix it with the reserved pulp, add 4 liang of roasted salt, 1 liang of licorice powder,3 qian of ground sandalwood, 1 qian of ground agarwood (optional), and 2 qian of ground white cardamom seeds. Mix thoroughly, seal in a jar, and store for long-term use.

Instructions for Use

Take 1–2 spoonfuls with chopsticks, mix with hot clear broth, and consume.
