Drug Formulation

4 liang of fermented rice malt (roasted), 2 liang of dried Pueraria root, 1 liang of cinnamon bark (with coarse outer bark removed), 30 seeds of Amomum villosum, 25 seeds of croton (with skin and oil removed, used raw), 1 liang of aged tangerine peel (with white pith removed),half liang of areca nut, 1 liang of wood fragrant, 1 liang of cardamom, 1 sheng of black pharbitis (soaked overnight in 10 sheng of ash-free wine, then removed and roasted until dry).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take one pig’s stomach, clean it thoroughly, and fill it with the prepared Pharbitis seeds. Add 5 sheng of ash-free wine and simmer over low heat until the wine is completely absorbed and the stomach is tender. Remove it, pound it to a pulp in a mortar, mix it with the medicinal powder, and roll into pills the size of mung beans.

Take 50 pills each time on an empty stomach; take them at noon and before bedtime with warm wine.
