Instructions for Use

Take a flat-bottomed cauldron; place the first three ingredients inside and boil them in the quenched iron slurry for 21 days, maintaining a boil with bubbles the size of fish eyes.If the water evaporates, replenish it with warm slurry water. At the end of the 21 days, take a small amount and test it over the fire; if a ghostly flame appears, continue boiling until no flame remains. Let it dry completely, then transfer it to a bottle and press it down firmly. Cover it with burnt salt and seal it securely according to the method. Use half a jin of fire to cure it for 7 days; then use 5 jin of fire, calcined until uniformly red-hot. Once cooled, break open the jar to retrieve the contents, place them in a basin of hot water, rinse away the saltiness, and strain to recover the medicine. Sun-dry it, then grind it finely into a powder. Boil it with licorice and amla in water for half a day to remove the fire toxicity, then grind it again. Form it into pills the size of a sesame seed using kudzu starch paste. Take 7 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.

Note
