Red peony root tips 1 liang, Aconite root 1 liang, Platycodon root 5 qian, Schizonepeta spikelets 5 qian, Licorice root 5 qian, Bupleurum root 3 qian, Red adzuki beans 6 qian, Forsythia fruit 5 qian, Asarum root 5 qian, Redbud bark 1 liang, Soapberry 5 qian, Raw Rehmannia root 5 qian.

Processing

Place the above herbs in the sun to dry, grind into a fine powder, and store in a porcelain jar to prevent the loss of medicinal properties.

Instructions for Use

When needed, mix with cold water and hold in the mouth; for any redness or swelling in the neck, throat, or outside the mouth, apply the soapberry paste directly; the soapberry paste may also be used as a wash—decoct it with Schizonepeta in water and rinse the affected area frequently; after rinsing, apply the soapberry paste again.

Note

None of these herbs should be exposed to fire.
