Processing
First, melt the rosin in a clean pot; then add garlic and scallion juice. Next, add the medicinal oil and allow it to cool and solidify. Mix in the fine medicinal powder, transfer the mixture to a water vat, and have someone stir it vigorously until it turns the color of black lacquer. Store it in a large vat and soak it in well water for one month before use.

Instructions for Use
For each 5 liang of medicine, use 1 jin of raw oil; boil until hot, then strain to obtain 10 liang of pure oil. For every 1 jin of refined oil, add 16 liang of rosin, 5 liang of the finely ground medicine, and 1 liang of charcoal as a standard formula. Rub the mixture with ginger and apply it to the affected area.For boils, back abscesses, hemorrhoids with fistulas, carbuncles, scrofula, fecal infections, bruises from beatings, various unidentified swellings and abscesses, stubborn tinea, damp-toxin leg sores, and syphilis—if in the early stages and not yet ruptured—apply the ointment to the affected area;if the lesion has been ruptured for some time, prepare a decoction of Sichuan pepper, scallion whites, and licorice to wash away the necrotic tissue before applying the ointment; wash the area 3–4 times daily and change the ointment once a day.Before applying the plaster, first warm it by roasting it with ginger; cut it open and rub it over the affected area. Then, while keeping the hot edge of the plaster at a distance, warm and mold it before applying. After application, warm your hands over a fire and press them against the area until the temperature reaches 300 degrees. If the skin feels itchy, remove the plaster immediately; leaving it on too long may cause a red rash.
Note
Avoid chicken, goose, mutton, fresh fish, pepper, garlic, and other spicy or toxic foods.
