Drug Formulation

1.5 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Magnetite (heated until red-hot, quenched in vinegar 7 times, crushed, ground, and washed with water), 1 liang of Achyranthes (stems removed),Cuscuta seed 1 liang (soaked in wine for 3 days, sun-dried, and ground separately into a powder), Cistanche 1 liang (soaked in wine overnight, wrinkled skin scraped off, and roasted until dry), Polygala 1 liang (core removed).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 3 pairs of sheep kidneys, remove the fatty membranes, finely chop and grind until smooth, add 3 sheng of wine, and simmer over low heat in a silver cauldron until it becomes a thick paste. Mix in the herbal powder and form into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30 pills per dose on an empty stomach or before the evening meal, washed down with warm wine; taking them with salted broth is also acceptable.
