1 liang of honey-roasted ephedra, 8 qian of Clematis root, 7 qian of rhubarb, 5 qian of Notopterygium root, 5 qian of Angelica dahurica, 5 qian of Sapindus thorn, 5 qian of honeysuckle, 5 qian of Saposhnikovia root, 5 qian of cicada slough, and 5 qian of roasted Chinese softshell turtle shell.

Instructions for Use

First, simmer 1 jin of lamb until tender; take 2 bowls of the clear broth, mix with 1 bowl of wine, add the above powdered herbs, and decoct until only 1 bowl of broth remains. On an empty stomach, eat a light meal of steamed, hot lamb until full, then drink the broth. Cover yourself with a blanket and lie down to induce a profuse sweat; strictly avoid exposure to drafts.
