Drug Formulation

Pig’s hooves, any quantity (wash thoroughly, remove hairy parts, chop finely, stir-fry in a wok until all smoke has dissipated; remove and spread the mixture thinly on a thick layer of paper laid on the ground; cover with a basin; wait 3 days until all fire toxicity has dissipated, then grind into a fine powder); half a jin of Jinxing Stone,half a jin of Silver Star Stone, half a jin of Blue (??) Stone (combine the three stones in a single box, seal it with a mixture of horse manure and mud, dry in the sun, then first roast gradually over a gentle fire; next, add charcoal and calcine until uniformly red-hot; remove and place the box in a pit dug one chi deep; cover with soil and bury for two days to remove the fire toxicity; grind into a fine powder).

Processing

Take 2 liang of ground pig’s trotter and 1.5 liang of ground stone; grind them together until fine and uniform. Add half a liang of raw sesame oil and grind until thoroughly blended.
