Drug Formulation

10 liang of lard; 3 liang of white wax (melt, remove from heat, allow to cool until warm, then add 1 liang 5 qian of mercury oxide and 1 liang 5 qian of camphor ice).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and wait until it begins to set slightly; then add 1 qian of powdered borneol, stir until uniform to form a paste, and store in a jar for future use.

Instructions for Use

First, use 3 qian each of licorice and kudzu root; decoct in water to cleanse the affected area, then apply the ointment. For wounds from beatings, spread the ointment very thinly on Jingchuan paper and apply it; replace it when it becomes warm. This will disperse the stagnant blood from the abscess and immediately relieve the pain.
