Drug Formulation

Half a liang of ginseng, 1 fen of white tribulus (thorns removed), 1 fen of red poria, 1 fen of white atractylodes, 2 qian of belladonna seeds, 1 fen of white mung beans (if unavailable, substitute with white beans; this has a separate rationale), 2 qian of angelica pubescens, 3 qian of licorice, 2 qian of Tiannanxing (raw), and 1.5 qian of pinellia (processed to slightly reduce its potency).

Instructions for Use

1 zhan of water, a small amount of ground water-soaked agarwood, 1–2 spikes of Schizonepeta; decoct together with 3 qian bi of the ingredients, reduce to 8 fen, strain out the residue, and simmer again. Take 3 doses daily.
