Drug Formulation

1 sheng of raw sesame oil, 1 sheng of clear rice water from Zhejiang glutinous rice.

The formula is from *Qianjin Yi* (Vol. 12); the name is found in *Yanglao Fengqin*.

Instructions for Use

Simmer the mixture over low heat until the rice water is completely reduced; remove and set aside. Take 3 he of the mixture and 7 he of salted water. First, mix the salted water with the oil until well combined. Add 1 jin of wheat flour and prepare the noodles as usual. Boil for 5–6 boils, then remove and place in cold water. Drain again and lay out on a tray to dry.Then, one by one, toss each piece into boiling water and cook as usual; repeat this process ten times until all the hot dough is used up. Pour the oil-based sauce over it and eat to your heart’s content.
