Drug Formulation

5 qian of dragon bone, 3 qian of gardenia seeds (raw), 5 qian of Phellodendron bark (raw), 5 qian of Scutellaria root (raw).

Processing

Simmer the ingredients in a copper pot until the dragon bone is completely dry; remove and grind into a fine powder. Then, combine 5 qian of lead powder, 3 fen of musk, and the dragon bone powder, grinding them together into a fine powder. Store this mixture in a bowl. Add 1 liang of beeswax and place the bowl in boiling water to melt the wax, stirring until well blended. Line the lid of a brazier with four layers of paper, brush the mixture onto the paper, and cut it into small strips.

Instructions for Use

Apply to the tooth before going to bed; remove it the next morning—the presence of black residue confirms its effectiveness.
