Drug Formulation

3 qian of mercury oxide, 1 qian of frankincense, 1 qian of myrrh, 1 qian of dragon’s blood, 3 qian of toad venom, 5 fen of musk, and 5 qian of realgar.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Use 1 dou 3 sheng of buckwheat ash or genuine charcoal ash, pour 8–9 bowls of boiling water over it, and simmer over alternating high and low heat with mulberry wood until reduced to 3 bowls. Take 2 bowls of this liquid and mix in the medicinal powder, stirring gently with a willow branch. Add 1 sheng of high-quality lime, stir until uniform, let stand overnight, then transfer to a small porcelain jar for storage.

Instructions for Use

For malignant sores, apply 1–2 drops to the affected area twice daily. Continue until bloody discharge appears. When the ointment dries, mix it with the remaining 1 bowl of ash decoction.
