Zhenfang Shengsanzi,For men and women suffering from dampness in the spleen and stomach, cold stagnation in the epigastrium, frequent indigestion after eating, fullness and oppression in the chest, distension of the flanks, intestinal rumbling and bloating,stiff pain in the lower abdomen, tightness below the navel, or irregular bowel movements, slow digestion of grains, tenesmus, bloody and purulent diarrhea, or stools of five colors, or stools resembling fish brains, or bean juice, or containing fresh blood, or resembling rotten flesh, occurring day and night without pattern, persisting for a long time without resolution, accompanied by a preference for lying down, lethargy, emaciation, heaviness in the limbs, and intermittent chills and fever.

Drug Formulation

3 liang of imperial rice husks (crushed and stir-fried with vinegar until yellow), 1 liang of cardamom (baked in flour, then removed from the flour), 1 liang of red cinnabar, 1 liang of blackfish bone (skin removed), 1 liang of licorice (roasted until yellow), 1 liang of Chinese toon flower buds, 1 liang of chebulic myrobalan peel, and 1 liang of dried ginger (roasted).

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose; before meals, add a small amount of frankincense to one zhan of water, boil for 5–7 boils, and take the decoction.
