Drug Formulation

1 fen of Tianma, half a liang of Myrrh, half a liang of Huangming-dropped Frankincense, 1 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 fen of Benzoin, 4 liang of Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed), and a small amount of raw borneol.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 daqian per dose. Use 1 sheng of medicinal wine to simmer in a silver or stone vessel until it becomes a paste; then remove it and divide it into 4 bowls. Use a separate batch of medicinal wine to gradually mix in the paste, adjusting the amount according to the patient’s tolerance for alcohol, until the entire dose is consumed. Have the patient lie on the affected area with a pillow, covered with clothes and blankets. If the patient begins to sweat or experiences a sensation resembling crawling insects, the treatment is effective. Take another dose the following day, and the patient’s limbs will surely regain movement.
