Frankincense (oil removed) 1 qian 2 fen, Myrrh (oil removed) 1 qian 2 fen, Catechu 1 qian 2 fen, Borneol 1 qian, Mercury Oxide (powdered) 3 qian.

Processing

Melt 1 jin of pork lard, strain out the residue, then add 3 liang of beeswax and melt together until the consistency is just right when a drop of water is added. Next, add Frankincense, Myrrh, Catechu, and Borneol—all finely ground into a powder—and immediately pour the mixture into a porcelain container. Once it has cooled to a warm temperature, add mercuric oxide, spread the mixture on a cloth, and apply it to the affected area.
