Zhuque Decoction

Benefits

For chronic conditions with retained fluid and phlegm that fails to dissipate, causing a gurgling sensation above the chest and diaphragm; occasional dizziness and headaches; cramping; and yellowing of the eyes, body, hands, feet, and all ten fingernails. It also treats fullness and distension due to fluid retention beneath the flanks, which frequently causes pain in that area.

Instructions for Use

Grind the ingredients into a powder. Take 12 jujubes (split open) and 6 sheng of water; first decoct the jujubes to reduce the liquid to 2 sheng; add 3 fangcun bi of the medicine and decoct further to reduce to 1 sheng and 1 he; divide into two doses. Vomiting or purgation indicates the formula is taking effect; if no response is seen, repeat the dose—it is exceptionally effective.
