Drug Formulation

1 qian of cinnabar powder, 1 qian of realgar powder, 7 croton seeds (peeled and membrane removed), and wax approximately the size of 2 jujubes.

Processing

First melt the wax in a crucible; add the croton seeds and simmer until they turn black and charred. Discard the croton seeds, then add the two ingredients listed above, stir until thoroughly mixed, and allow to solidify into pills.

Instructions for Use

To use, roll into pills the size of mung beans; take 2 pills per dose. For white dysentery, take with mugwort decoction; for red dysentery, take with Coptis decoction; for mixed red and white dysentery, take with Coptis and mugwort decoction; for dysentery caused by undigested food and water, take with fresh water. Take before breastfeeding or feeding.
