Drug Formulation

3 pig hind hooves (roasted until yellow), 4 liang raw white bark of Paulownia, 0.5 fen raw white bark of mulberry root, 0.5 fen Gentiana, 0.5 fen realgar (ground), 50 snake molts (roasted), 0.6 fen raw green bamboo bark, 0.3 fen dew-soaked bee hive (roasted),3 fen Sichuan pepper (sweated), 4 fen hedgehog skin (charred), 4 fen aconite root (roasted), 7 fen raw cypress bark (roasted), 30 apricot kernels (skinned and de-seeded).

Processing

Finely chop the above herbs, wrap them in cotton, and soak them in 2.5 sheng of vinegar overnight. Roast them over a fire until dry, then pound and sift them. Mix with 3 sheng of lard and simmer over low heat until it becomes like thin sugar syrup.
