5 qian of Notopterygium, 5 qian of Angelica pubescens, 5 qian of Perilla frutescens, 5 qian of Qi-mugwort, 5 qian of fresh Acorus tatarinowii, 5 qian of licorice, 5 qian of Angelica dahurica, and 3 liang of green onions with roots.

Benefits
For a genital ulcer on the back that is hard and on the verge of rupturing but has not yet ruptured, with pus and toxins unable to escape, causing restlessness and a sensation of heaviness as if carrying a stone.
Instructions for Use
Prepare in advance a section of fresh, tender bamboo with a mouth diameter of 1 cun 2 fen or 1 cun 3 fen, 7 cun in length. Leave the node intact at one end; use a knife to scrape off the outer green layer, leaving half of the inner white layer intact.leaving a layer approximately 1 fen thick. Drill a small hole near the node, plug it tightly with a strip of cypress wood, and place the above herbs inside the tube. Plug the tube’s opening with scallions. Place the tube horizontally in a pot, weigh it down so it does not float, and pour 10 large bowls of clean water over it. Boil until the mixture comes to a rolling boil several times, until the herbs are thoroughly cooked and concentrated. Set aside for later use.Next, use a lancet to make three holes in a “pin” formation within 1 cun of the top of the sore. Place the medicine tube along with the broth in a large porcelain bowl. Take it to the patient’s bedside, pour out the medicine from the tube, and quickly position the tube opening directly over the sore while it is still hot, pressing it firmly with your hand. The tube will naturally adhere to the skin. Wait for a short while until the tube has cooled slightly, then remove the wooden stick plugging the hole, and the tube will fall off on its own.
Note
This method is suitable for yin-type sores that have persisted for about fifteen days and are hard, unbroken, and free of pus; it should not be used for yang-type sores that are prone to breaking open and producing pus.
