Drug Formulation

1 liang of potash, 1 liang of mercury, 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of cinnabar, 1 liang of sulfur (combined with mercury to form a paste), and 1.5 liang of gold leaf.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Take a porcelain bottle, seal it tightly with salt mud, and set it aside. Place the medicine into the bottle. Drill a hole in the lid, about the size of half a coin, and cover the bottle opening with it. Then place the bottle in calcined ash and bake it; do not use too high a heat, lest the medicine evaporate.Wait until the Yin energy has completely dissipated through the hole, then seal the hole with salt clay. Use half a jin of fire to maintain the heat for 3 full days; then use one jin of fire to burn for 17 days. Allow it to cool before removing it, and place it in an earthen pit to remove the fire toxicity. After 3 days, grind it finely and form it into pills the size of a sesame seed using date pulp.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.
