Drug Formulation

1 pair of Gekko (honey-fried), half liang of Ginseng (root tip removed), half liang of Stemona, half liang of Tussilago flower (stems removed), half liang of Fritillaria (core removed), half liang of Aster root, 1 fen of Donkey-hide Gelatin (stir-fried with Gekko powder), 1 fen of Bupleurum (stems removed),Cinnamon Bark (without coarse bark) 1 fen, Astragalus (honey-fried) 1 fen, Licorice (fried) 1 fen, Softshell Turtle Carapace (vinegar-fried) 1 fen, Apricot Kernel (soaked in hot water, with skin and tip removed) 1 fen, Pinellia (processed with ginger juice) 1 fen.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water and 3 slices of fresh ginger; decoct until reduced to 1 zhan; take while warm, at any time of day.

Note

Although Cinnamon Bark dispels wind and cold, it is not suitable for those with internal heat; in such cases, Asarum should be used instead.
