Instructions for Use
For epidemic conjunctivitis, or sudden onset of redness, swelling, pain, itching, and photophobia, take a piece of the medicated strip the size of a wheat grain, place it in your palm, and use a bone hairpin dipped in cold water to mix it into a paste—neither too thin nor too thick—then apply it to the inner corner of the eye. Apply 2–3 times each night until cured. For children aged 1–7 with eye conditions, take one strip, place it in a wine cup, add a small amount of water, dip a new goat-hair brush in the solution, and wash the inside and outside of the eye several times a day and night; after washing, avoid drafts. It also treats toothaches: take half a strip, mix it in the palm of your hand, and apply it to the teeth. For pus or blood discharge from the ear canal, take half a strip, place it in a wine cup, add a small amount of clean water, soak until softened, and instill into the ear. For scorpion stings, snake bites, bee stings, and mouth sores, apply the remedy directly to the affected area.
