Drug Formulation

Euphorbia chinensis 1 fen, Clove 1 fen, Rhubarb (roasted) 1 fen, Phellodendron bark (charred red and cooled) 1 fen,Gan Sui 1 fen (grind the above ingredients into a fine powder first), Cinnabar half liang, water-ground Realgar (finely ground and washed with water) half liang, Borax 1 qian, Mercury (formed into granules with tin) 1 qian, Croton seeds (remove skin and inner membrane, retain oil; finely ground) 10 pieces.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use 4 liang of beeswax, melt and stir it in a silver or stone vessel until it forms a paste, then gradually take portions of the mixture to form pills the size of millet grains.

Instructions for Use

Dosage: 1 pill for children under one year old; 2 pills for children aged 2–3; 3 pills for children aged 4–5; 5 pills for children aged 6–7; and 7 pills for children aged 10 and older. Take with freshly drawn water.
