Drug Formulation

Ox bile (ground) half liang, cinnabar (ground) half liang, realgar (ground) half liang, rhinoceros horn (ground into powder) half liang, gastrodia tuber half liang, cicada shell (cleaned of soil) half liang, dried ginger (roasted) half liang,White Silkworm Larva (roasted) half liang, Pinellia (washed 10 times in boiling water, then dried) half liang, Black Snake (soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, then roasted) half liang, Aconite (roasted) half liang, White Aconite Root (roasted) half liang, Angelica (sliced, then dried) half liang, Musk (ground) half liang, Starch 1 fen.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Use 3 liang of locust gum, soak it in running water for 3 days, then pound it until pulpy. Mix in the medicinal powder to form pills the size of a chicken’s head.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill regularly, chewed and washed down with tea or wine; for mild wind-related ailments, finely chop 10 stems each of locust, willow, and peach branches, along with 10 sections of scallion white, boil them together in a concentrated salt-water solution, and take 2 pills with the decoction. After bathing, take another 2 pills; cover with clothes and blankets until sweating occurs, and recovery will be immediate. For postpartum stroke or acute wind-stroke, dissolve 5 pills in soybean-lin wine, pear juice, or peppermint juice and take them; the effect is immediate.
