Drug Formulation

Croton seed (remove skin, oil, and inner membrane; grind finely) half liang; mercury half liang; black lead 2 qian and a half (mercury precipitate); musk 5 fen (ground separately); high-quality ink 8 qian (ground).

Processing

Grind the castor bean powder and ink together until uniform, then mix in the mercury granules and musk. Form into pills the size of mung beans using aged rice porridge, and shape them into tight, compact pills.

Instructions for Use

For each dose: 1 pill for a 1-year-old; 2–3 pills for 2–3-year-olds; 5–6 pills for children 5 years and older. Take after meals with cooled boiled mint tea. Do not let the pills dissolve; adjust the dosage according to the patient’s condition (deficiency or excess).
