Drug Formulation

8 liang of deer tendon, 2 Qi snakes, 1 liang of tiger bone glue, 1 liang of deer glue (roasted into beads), 3 liang of rice-processed Dang Gui, 5 qian of goji berries, 1 qian of frankincense, 5 qian of Acanthopanax bark (salt-roasted), 3 qian of Fangfeng, 2 liang of Dang Gui, 4 liang of prepared Rehmannia root, 5 qian of Poria, 5 qian of wood apple (salt-roasted),4 qian of pine knots, 1 qian of myrrh, 2 qian of wood fragrant, 3 qian of white angelica, 3 qian of notopterygium, 3 qian of gastrodia, 5 qian of achyranthes (salt-roasted), 5 qian of eucommia, 6 qian of white atractylodes (earth-roasted), 3 qian of cyperus, 3 qian of ligusticum, 3 qian of Sichuan aconite, 3 qian of fried licorice, 3 liang of astragalus, 4 liang of red dates, 3 liang of walnut meat.

Processing

Place the ingredients in a covered earthenware bowl, mix thoroughly with 12 liang of rice wine until thoroughly moistened, and let stand for one day. Steam over water until cooked, allow to cool, then transfer to a jar. Use only 10 jin of high-quality rice wine per batch. Let steep for 30 days before drinking; the longer it ages, the better it becomes.
