Drug Formulation

1 liang of Plantain Seed, 1 liang of Chrysanthemum Flowers, 1 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Angelica Root (roasted, coarsely chopped), 1 liang of Beijing Curcuma (baked, coarsely chopped), 1 liang of Coptis (stems removed),1.5 liang of Steamed and Dried Rehmannia (baked), 1.5 liang of Platycodon (chopped, stir-fried), 1.5 liang of Corydalis, 1.5 liang of Smilax, 1.5 liang of Bupleurum (stems removed), 1.5 liang of Red Peony Root, 1.5 liang of Red Ocher (ground), 3 liang of Gypsum (crushed), and 0.5 liang of Cinnamon (coarse bark removed).

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients until they are about the size of sesame or mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose. Boil with 1.5 zhan of water and 1 piece of ginger the size of a jujube (sliced) until reduced to 8 fen. Strain and take while warm; there is no specific time restriction.
