Instructions for Use

Add 5 scallions (with roots) and 1 pinch of Sichuan pepper. Simmer with 5 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng. Strain out the residue, pour into a basin, and while still hot, wrap the patient in a blanket. Have the patient wash the affected area with her hands, then pour the liquid into a 5-sheng bottle. Bring to a boil once more, then use as before. After washing five times, rest for a short while.

Avoid salted foods, fermented sauces, hot noodles, wind-inducing toxic substances, and activities that strain the mind, exert physical energy, or involve sexual activity.
