Drug Formulation

3 large handfuls of scallion roots, 6 liang of dried kudzu (sliced), 3 he of fermented soybeans, 1 large handful of scallion whites (split), a small amount of fresh ginger (sliced), and 15 peppercorns.

Instructions for Use

Boil the scallion roots in 5 large sheng of water until the volume is reduced by half; strain out the residue. Add the kudzu and fermented soybeans and boil until reduced to 2 large sheng; strain again. Finely grind a small amount of rice to make a thin porridge, then add the scallion whites and other ingredients and cook until done.Sip and consume while hot; then, as before, cover with a blanket to induce sweating. Once sweating is complete, have a woman rub powder all over the body to close the pores. After about half a day, one may go outdoors. If there is no improvement, the treatment may be repeated.
