Drug Formulation

2 liang of cinnabar powder, 2 liang of rhinoceros horn, 2 liang of night-dried bark, 2 liang of rhubarb, 2 liang of ligusticum root, 2 liang of musk powder, 2 liang of scutellaria root, 10 liang of raw rehmannia root (sliced), 3 liang of cimicifuga root, 3 liang of xuanhuo root, 3 liang of agarwood, and 1 liang of blue agarwood.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients, soak them in vinegar overnight, then simmer in 5 sheng of lard over low heat for three cycles. Strain out the residue, add the cinnabar and ground musk, and stir to combine.

Instructions for Use

Take in small doses. For a newly developed abscess that has not yet been treated, take a dose the size of a jujube seed with warm wine three times a day.
